 posium. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a panel discus
 sion on how early experiences shape long term growth and development and h
 ow the EYMH Toolkit can help you in your practice.\n\nThe Halton Early Yea
 rs Mental Health Committee (EYMHC) is a cross-sector collaboration of serv
 ice providers who work with infants/young children and their families. Res
 earch has shown that significant mental health issues can and do exist in 
 young children and tend to manifest as serious social\, emotional and beha
 vioural problems (Zeenah\, 2009).\n\nA panel of committee members will con
 tinue the discussion of how important the role that you\, as a professiona
 l in early childhood setting\, play in promoting the mental health and wel
 l-being of all young children and their families. A child’s well-being a
 nd healthy brain development is contingent upon infants/young children hav
 ing health relationships with their caregivers. Other important factors to
  consider include developing a sense of belonging and valuing and respecti
 ng an individual or family’s culture and beliefs.\n\nWe hope that you wi
